M. Cooke – Melbourne, Australia - There is something about you Sheila that I think is very rare and special...

There is something about you Sheila that I think is very rare and special. At least I personally have not ever met anyone with your ability to not just read people and understand their needs, but who also has personal experience with addiction and is very in touch with the realm of higher consciousness. You have an inquisitive and highly intellectual mind, a very loving and caring heart, and have such an easy confidence that is both natural and honest.

I admit I found myself being a little intimidated by you early on. It was purely because I sensed right from the beginning that you could see straight through my bullshit. It was perfect for me because I was in a place where I didn’t WANT the bullshit anymore, maybe the reason why I sometimes got nervous before our meetings! I was learning (and still am) how to tell my own truth.

I think people who continue to try and bullshit you can sense what I did, but I know YOU can tell when that’s happening. I think you have the coaching/addiction experience and the right amount of empathy and compassion to find the best way to reach everyone.

You know when to push me, when to throw something out there, and when to pull back. I feel like you are always guiding me, like 1 or 2 moves ahead in a game of chess. Though you couldn’t know my opening move, what my strategy would be or what I’d bring to the table. You always had what seemed like the perfect counter move, including questions or ideas that would often challenge my own way of thinking.

Practicing closing the gap between my intellect and my own spirit voice is a very new concept for me, and while I may have put the glasses on, there’s still some adjusting and fine-tuning to be done! With this new clarity of vision…of how I see things today, you seem to me to have damn near close to 20/20 vision.

I have personally witnessed the love and respect that such a wide variety of personalities have for you. I don’t know for a fact…but I daresay you find a way to talk to the spirit of everyone that is capable of opening up just that little bit that it takes.

I honestly have never (and I do actually mean never) met a more healthy, very balanced and emotionally stable, intellectually complex and compassionate human. What I think is really cool is I also know through your own self disclosure that you have worked really hard and faced a lot of challenges to be who you are today. We both know you also have an enormous and very varied toolbox at your disposal…and a mind that is always seeking new knowledge.

Truth is, if I can fill my own destiny anywhere close to how well you are fulfilling your purpose, I’ll be so happy. I hope the paths of our lives stay connected. I truly believe you are a bringer of light to all those you encounter. Keep doing what you’re doing, because you are very good at it and you are saving lives, mine included.

Jon F Pietras - Costa Rica - It has been my privilege to work side by side with Sheila in an Addictions Recovery Support Class at the Drug & Alcohol Recovery Center in San Jose...

It has been my privilege to work side by side with Sheila Wach in an Addictions Recovery Support Class at the Drug & Alcohol Recovery Center in San Jose, Costa Rica. During the last two years, Sheila has made significant contributions addressing the overall structure, composition, and lesson plan of the program, which we jointly developed and put into practice.

Her easy going style is non-confrontational and seeks to draw out from those recovering the exact nature of their problem which guides them on their road to recovery success. She brings new ideas from the fields of addictions coaching, neuroscience, medicine and nutrition which she seamlessly works into the topic of the moment. I personally am amazed at how she is always ready with a follow up or a new idea, exactly when I have exhausted my subject and looking for a helping hand. Sheila is constantly improving her knowledge in the many and varied fields of addiction & recovery life coaching which has prodded me to do the same in an effort to keep up with her.

Most important is the fantastic feedback which we receive from those attending. Remarks like, “I love coming to these classes, because what you say makes things so clear to me” and “Even though I am leaving the recovery program, I would like to keep attending this study group”. These remarks make it a joy to share this special session with Sheila.

S.T. – Santa Barbara, California - Sheila has been an integral part of my spiritual development and overall well-being for the past year and has been a true inspiration...

Sheila Wach has been an integral part of my spiritual development and overall well-being for the past year and has been a true inspiration for me throughout my recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction.  I began working with Sheila after hearing her speak at a convention in which her words & experience inspired me to reach out.  Working with Sheila throughout the past year has been the best part of my 3 year recovery.  She has shown me the way to live in love and light instead of fear and darkness, and she has changed the way I see myself and the world. It is a true blessing to have Sheila as a part of my recovery life and I strongly recommend her to anyone who seeks support and inspiration throughout addiction recovery, as well as an overall change in perspective and life as a whole.

Since working with Sheila, my life has improved significantly and I am forever grateful for the opportunity to work with such a motivational, understanding, insightful, and overall amazing woman.  My world had become extremely small throughout my addiction and I had placed serious limits on myself that prevented growth and development.  Sheila has guided me through some major life changes and only with her support was I able to fully embrace those challenges with confidence and trust.  Sheila’s ability to listen and offer a healthy perspective on life matters and daily obstacles is refreshing, inspiring, and has been incredibly vital to my recovery this past year.

I have suffered from very low self-esteem my entire life and it really wasn’t until working with Sheila that I began to realize my full potential and move towards a place of truly loving myself.  This has been the best gift of my recovery and something I thought would never be possible. Through Sheila’s coaching, she has shown me a new way of thinking that supports loving, kind and healthy attitudes and this has completely changed me and my life in the most positive way.  She has provided me support and given me confidence to expand my world and challenge myself which consequently has increased my self-esteem to levels unimaginable.  Today I know love, peace, and joy in my heart and I am able to live a spiritually fit life that truly exceeds my wildest dreams.  I would not be where I am today had I not spent the past year working with Sheila.  She is a true angel!

I have had the pleasure of being coached by Sheila Wach in the past year and I consider her an absolute Godsend.  In working together, I have been able to accomplish both personal and professional goals that I never allowed myself to think were possible.  She is one of (if not the most) intuitive, intelligent and well-spoken person I have ever met, which has served my growth in countless ways.  She is tough when she needs to be, but comes from a place of true love for all people who are seeking to better themselves.  I feel so grateful to have met Sheila – she is a true game changer.

Sheila Wach and Recovery coaching………. Wow, Mind-blowing, thought provoking and insightful; these are the thoughts that come to mind when I think of my experience with Sheila and her approach to addiction recovery.

I once related to her that her approach to sizing people up in recovery reminded me of when I long ago worked my way through college as a fine dining server. I would often spy out my tables for a good 30 seconds sizing up their moods and the little I could glean about their personalities before I approached them.  I wore a different hat / smile / attitude for every table based upon what I thought might make their experience best.  It worked and I was good at it.  It seems Sheila does the same when sizing up her coaching clients and she certainly read me well.

When I first came back into recovery, after a long relapse, she quickly and effectively addressed my 2 most egocentric personas to communicate with me.   She was tough/straight talking (U.S. Marine) and very constructive in her confrontation (Corporate technical professional).   During our talks she often had to remind me to not be so hard on myself as well.  I needed that – still do.  I was no exception as I have seen her deal with a lot of other people in addiction recovery and her approach always seem to be right on the mark for each and every individual.

Being tough, confrontational, and honest (except with myself) comes very easy for me and I was significantly lacking “Grace”.   I am very indebted to her for teaching me the simple value of this very important characteristic.   LOL – I am pretty sure other addicts appreciate it even more!

Sheila also helped me start on a path to a newfound spiritual awakening with both our discussions and books she suggested.  All in all – I am very grateful to have her as a recovery support resource and I often recommend her to others seeking vital strength and support with their recovery from addiction.

Gaby S. – Costa Rica - As soon as Sheila started talking, every sentence she said made all the sense in the world. For the first time in a very long time I felt I wasn’t alone...

As soon as Sheila started talking, every sentence she said made all the sense in the world. For the first time in a very long time I felt I wasn’t alone. Something warm started to spread inside of me. When I started to cry, she held my hand, looked into my eyes and told me everything would be ok. She told me she was there to help. Her words of wisdom touched me in many ways. She explained to me about my true self; she insisted that I have a real voice and that the voice of my addiction only wanted to destroy me.

Sheila taught me and then reminded me about my human and spiritual nature. She brought me back to life, she resurrected me from the shadows of my personal hell, she made me believe that I’m worthy, that I deserved to live and that I’m lovable. She made me understand that “I AM” and that’s plenty because I deserve to be loved simply by my true nature.

My addiction buried me alive and Sheila was the warrior of light that helped me walk out of that grave. Little by little, through her strength, love and compassion, I started to turn into a woman and a human being again.

Thanks to her impeccable guidance I am remaining clean and sober. Today I have a job, friends, clothes to wear, a bed to sleep in, but the most important of all, today I have a soul.

I am eternally grateful for you Sheila. Thank you for believing in me and for walking me out of my shadows with your beautiful light and talent.

Aloha Sheila,

Thanks so much for your letter, the update on Shawn and the valuable information for me for the next step in my own journey as he returns home.

He IS a special man, well-loved and full of new potential.  I am forever grateful that he met you and that you were able to help him so much and that he will be continuing his process with you.

He is in great spirits. I could feel how much it meant for me to see and feel him doing so well.  It means the world to me!!! He is well intended in keeping his daily life healthy and filled with positive activity.  I will stay in close touch with him and encourage him stay on track with meetings, working out, eating well and establishing other recovery support.

I’ve been reading up on the material you suggested regarding Addiction Relapse Prevention. I will definitely stay in touch with you!

I would like to wholeheartedly recommend Sheila as a family and recovery coach. Sheila has helped my daughter, Jessica, immensely with her recovery process. I’ve had one-on-one meetings with Sheila and I found them to be very helpful and informative. I’ve also attended group meetings and I’m most impressed with her ability to interact with everyone.

I really appreciate her keeping our family updated regularly with Jessica’s progress.

Jessica told me that Sheila has helped her more than anyone else with her recovery. I can see a dramatic change for the good in my daughter. I believe that she has really blossomed under the direction of Sheila.

I am so thankful that Sheila came into our lives. It’s great to know someone that really cares about the people she helps.
